Hi Carol,

Brownie here..... let's see if we can find a 1962 year book. One of my classmates has lost her copy and is willing to buy one if we can locate one for sale. Perhaps someone out there in Typhoon land has one for sale.

Thanks, Brownie Shaffer Haracivet - NNHS '62

That's a real possibility, Brownie! How about it, Sweetie-Pies?

   "Anyone? Anyone?"

Thank you for being so thoughtful, Brownie!

From Sarah Puckett Kressaty ('65) of VA - 10/31/08 - "Halloween":

Attached are some Halloween pictures I took in Gloucester where Amy and John live. Ciarra and Soren had a great time. Ciarra met up with 2 of her friends and we all walked down Main Street. It was a lot of fun. Soren really got into being Batman. Ciarra was the Sweet Candy Fairy – her own creation! She made the candy necklaces and earrings!

Oh, how cute they are! Ya just can't miss with Batman!

Ciarra is (as was to be expected!) a very creative girl! I really like her sparkly makeup - and the candy necklace is just perfect!

Thanks for sharing these with us, Sarah Sugah!

From Jerry Blanchard ('62) of VA - 11/01/08 - "USS New York":

My brother Buz (Blanchard - of LA - Kecoughtan High - '68) is working on the USS New York, and says it will be turned over to the NAVY on 9/11/2009, in New York City, N.Y.

Jerry Blanchard (Class of 62) of Va.

COOL BEANS! I always love it when something actually makes sense, and that certainly makes great sense! Thanks for letting us know, Jerry!

From Pam Larmer Traugott ('62) of VA - 11/01/08:

My dear Carol,

Thank you for your recent kind remarks about my being a Dancing Queen,  Guess I am indeed, but I think you noticed because so few were enjoying the "art of the dance".

Anyway, I enjoy your work so much, and I feel sure we are all better off because of it.

I have a more recent pic you can use.

Love, Pam

OH, GOODY - what a great image of you! Thanks so much, Pam - for everything!

I added your new pic to the Alumni Page for your class:

Ein deutsches Requiem (A German Requiem)

- Johannes Brahms, 1865-8
(7 May 1833 - 3 Apr 1897)

III. Herr, lehre doch mich

Herr, lehre doch mich,

und machen ihnen viel vergebliche Unruhe;
sie sammeln und wissen nicht,
wer es kriegen wird.
Nun Herr, wes soll ich mich trösten?

Ich hoffe auf Dich.

(Psalm 39, 5-8)

Der Gerechten Seelen sind in Gottes Hand
und keine Qual rühret sie an.

(Weisheit Salomos 3, 1)

III. Lord, make me to know mine end

Lord, make me to know mine end,
and the measure of my days,
what it is:
that I may know how frail I am.
Behold, thou hast made my days
as an handbreadth;
and mine age is as nothing before thee....

Surely every man walketh
in a vain shew:
surely they are disquieted in vain:
he heapeth up riches,
and knoweth not
who shall gather them.
And now, Lord, what wait I for?

my hope is in thee.

(Psalm 39:4-7)

But the souls of the righteous are in the hand of God,
and there shall no torment touch them.

(Wisdom of Solomon 3:1)
