Mary Louise Robinson Sutton
(18 Apr 1919 - 23 Apr 2008)

Dear Friends and Schoolmates,
Once again we bring you sad news.
  Mary Louise Robinson Sutton, mother of Sue Sutton Richardson ('62) of CA, Lee Sutton ('64) of TN, Winkie Sutton Stratton of WA, and mother-in-law of Judy Steele Sutton ('64) of TN, passed away at The Chesapeake in Newport News on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, just five days after her 89th birthday.

    From Linda Lane Lane ('64) of VA - 04/27/08, 10:16 PM - "Death of    Mary Louise Sutton":

Carol, did you receive the note I sent about the death of Mary Louise Sutton?  She was the mother of Lee Sutton, class of 1964, Sue Sutton and Winky Sutton. I believe she and her husband Horace were living at The Chesapeake in Newport News.  They were our neighbors in Idaho Falls, Idaho during the mid 1950's.

Our Deepest Sympathy to each of the family.

Love, Linda L. Lane

   No, Linda, even a mail search couldn't produce your earlier note, so I don't know what became of it.  I also do not understand how I could have read her obituary two mornings in a row and still denied what I was seeing there.

   Thank you so much for letting us know.

 From the Daily Press - 04/25/08:

O Lord of Life, Where'er They Be

- Lyrics by
Frederick L. Hosmer, 1888; Music by Melchior Vulpius (circa 1560-1615)

O Lord of life, where’er they be,
Safe in Thine own eternity,
Our dead are living unto Thee:
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

All souls are Thine, and here or there
They rest within Thy sheltering care;
One providence alike they share:
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Thy Word is true, Thy ways are just;
Above the requiem, “Dust to dust,”
Shall rise our psalm of grateful trust:
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

O happy they in God who rest,
No more by fear and doubt oppressed,
Living or dying, they are blest:
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
