From Sandra Ray ('61) of VA - 01/02/08 - "Carol, starting the New Year with sad news of the passing of another NNHS Graduate":

Louis "Lou" Elbert Taylor, Jr., the brother-in-law of       Liz,    PA,   JT, Grandville Breeden, and Linda Robinson Gillespie, passed away January 1st, and I just wanted to let you know with the information that I have; will not be in the Daily Press until tomorrow.
Lou was better know as "Blue Juice" by his classmates and around Newport News.  All of Liz's siblings (except Lou's wife, Genevieve) attended NNHS also.
Several classmates of Liz have known "Blue Juice" since they were teenagers and were saddened to hear of his passing and their prayers and thoughts are with Liz and the entire family.....
Carol, thanking you in advance.  I know Liz will appreciate this more than you know, as well as myself.
Hope 2008 is a better year for you and all of us with good health, prosperous year and much happiness.
Again, thank you for your hard work in keeping us informed of all the good news as well as the bad.
Sandra Ray, 1961

I'm so sorry to learn this, Sandra!  Thank you for providing me with the details. Please give Liz and her siblings our love.

From Liz Breeden ('61) of VA - 01/03/07 - "Re: Lou's Memorial Edition":

Thanks a million. Lou was one fantastic person.    JT and Grandville both went to NNHS but graduated while serving with the Marines.

Again, thank you for all you do. We were really concerned as it was so late getting into the Daily Press, but we knew all good typhoons look at your site.

Thank you, Liz.  It's my honor to make such Memorial Editions.  Once again, you have my sincerest condolences on the loss of your brother-in-law.

Y'all take good care of each other!  TYPHOONS FOREVER!  We'll Always Have Buckroe!

                          Love to all, Carol
