More Than You Know

“Love is much like a wild rose, beautiful and calm,
but willing to draw blood in its defense.”

- Mark Overby

Dear Friends and Schoolmates,

Before the holiday themed Newsletters begin on Tuesday, there's still time for another melancholy old blues number.

BONUS #1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vuPuKK31XU - More Than You Know - Johnny Mathis - a definitive arrangement with a pretty slide show!

BONUS #2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8c_svPNY8LY - More Than You Know - Mel Torme with the Marty Paich Orchestra, 1988 - Hmmm - beautiful version, but he seriously reinterpreted the lyrics, changing the entire meaning, by switching a few pronouns here and there.....

BONUS #3 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBPD887Luf8 - More Than You Know - Jane Monheit with Jonathan Kreisberg on guitar and Joe Martin on bass, 2003

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/More_Than_You_Know_%281929_song%29:

"More Than You Know" is a popular song, with music written by Vincent Youmans and lyrics by Billy Rose and Edward Eliscu. The song was published in 1929.

The song was introduced in the Broadway musical Great Day where it was sung by Mayo Methot. It was also popularized on the stage and radio by Jane Froman.[1] The most popular contemporary recordings[1] were by Helen Morgan (Victor catalog number 22149),[1][2] and by Libby Holman (Brunswick catalog number 4613).[1][3]

The song was subsequently included in three musical films: Hit the Deck (1955), sung by Tony Martin; Funny Lady (1975), sung by Barbra Streisand; and The Fabulous Baker Boys (1989) sung by Michelle Pfeiffer (in a memorable introductory scene for her character). It has been recorded by many artists, including Star Trek Next Generation's Brent Spiner on his 1991 album Ol' Yellow Eyes Is Back.

This video is from Channel 13, Indianapolis, IN.

WATCH FOR THE SYMBOL ON YOUR NEW CARDS

OK, folks......this is VERY important for you to know......You really need to watch this video----then PASS it on to everyone you know.

RFID Symbol on your Credit Card

YOU WONT BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING. WATCH VIDEO AND CHECK YOUR CARDS. I GUESS WE GO BACK TO CASH.

Check your newer credit cards for the Wi-Fi Symbol on it. You need to watch the video below to really know why I sent this to you.

I read this about a couple weeks ago, and then checked my cards for the little "RFID Signal Icon" on each one. I found none w/that signal on them, but I was determined to watch for it when my cards came in on renewals. Well, yesterday I got my CHASE SLATE card AND THERE IT WAS ! My first time to see it. I'll not activate that card after seeing this. I guess I'll go to the bank and see if I can replace it w/a non RFID (Radio Frequency Card)....?

Thought all my contacts ought to see this if you've not already seen this demo ...

“What? Are you crazy? The house is a mess. I haven’t been shopping, all the dishes are dirty, and I don’t feel like cooking a fancy meal!!”

More Than You Know

Music by Vincent Youmans, 1929
(27 Sept 1898 - 05 Apr 1946)

Lyrics by Billy Rose (06 Sept 1899 – 10 Feb 1966) and Edward Eliscu (02 Apr 1902 – 18 June 1998)

Whether you are here or yonder
Whether you are false or true
Whether you remain or wander
I am growing fonder of you

Even though your friends forsake you
Even though you don't succeed
Wouldn't I be glad to take you
Give you the break you need

More than you know, more than you know
Girl of my heart, I love you so
Lately I find, you're on my mind
More than you know

Whether you're right, whether you're wrong
Girl of my heart, I'll string along
I need you so
Much more than you'll ever know

Loving you the way that I do
There's nothing I can do about it
Loving may be all you can give
But baby I can't live without it

Oh how I'd cry, oh how I'd cry
If you got tired, and said good-bye
More than I'd show
More than you'd ever know
