Dear Friends and Schoolmates,
   We have more sad news today.
  Jim Morgan, Vice-President of the Class of 1956, brother of Jean Morgan Burdick of VA, and of the late Danny Morgan, Warren Morgan, Tommy Morgan, and Jessie Morgan, passed away in Hampton on Sunday, November 08, 2015 at the age of 77.

HAMPTON - James "Jim" B. Morgan, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015 following a brief illness.

He was born in Newport News, January 23, 1938 to the Late Joella P. and Norman D. Morgan.

Jim graduated from Newport News High School in the Class of 1956. He then graduated from the Newport News Apprentice School and attended/ the University of Virginia.

Jim was a loving son, husband, father, friend and sportsman.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Danny, Warren, Tommy and Jessie.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; son, James P. "Phil" Morgan and granddaughter, Isabelle both of Green Bay, VA; loving, faithful friend, Zoey; sister, Jean Burdick of Southampton County; and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 am Wednesday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home in downtown Hampton.

Immediately following at 11:00 am, Jim's life will be celebrated in the funeral home chapel. Inurnment will be private.

The family wishes expressions of sympathy to take the form of contributions to the Development Office Virginia Living Museum, 524 J. Clyde Morris Blvd., Newport News, VA 23601.
