I remember
Mrs. Phillips very well back in the sixties at
Trinity Methodist Church,
but I never knew she graduated from Newport News High School;
my deepest sympathies to her family.

Dear
Barbara, D'Arcy, and Richard, we are so sorry to hear of Judy's passing.
It brings back a flood of memories from days she was a big part of my
life growing up next door. Judy was so young, she knew all the
up-to-date "technology" to help me with school and YWA projects, all the
latest in markers and glue and poster board! I remember playing ball on
your lot before your house was built, and I remember you all as darling
infants and toddlers. I guess we are talking ancient history here--I am
much older, but you, not so much, I'm sure.
I would love to be there Saturday and to meet your whole family,
especially little Sarah. I'm so happy you have a little granddaughter!
(We have 2 now!)
God comfort you all with his presence and peace.
Love to all, Joyce Ann Moore Becker

Family of Julia Phillips:
Your mom was always such an ambassador for Trinity United Methodist
Church. She was so supportive of my children, Katie and Will Powell and
she would make a point to recognize any accomplishments that they had
during high school. I am sure she will be missed by many. I will be
unable to attend her service but my thoughts will be with you.

Come, Ye Disconsolate
Words by Thomas Moore; alt. by
Thomas Hastings
Music by Samuel Webbe
Come, ye disconsolate, where'er ye languish.
Come to the mercy seat, fervently kneel.
Here bring your wounded hearts, here tell your anguish;
Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.
Joy of the desolate, light of the straying,
Hope of the penitent, fadeless and pure!
Here speaks the Comforter, tenderly saying,
"Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot cure."
Here see the bread of life; waters flowing
Forth from the throne of God, pure from above.
Come to the feast of love; come, ever knowing
Earth has no sorrow but heaven can remove.
