“In a mad world, only the mad are sane.” |

Dear Friends and Schoolmates,
Today's song has always touched something deep within me. Of course, that may just be because I'm, you know, mad.....

From David Whitley ('67) of VA - 11/09/07
- "Family photos from Seth":
Hi kiddo,
I know you're probably tired of the photo's but hey, that's what we as g'parents do, right? I was gonna split them up & send only a few, but I don't know how to do dat. Anyway, here they are, Seth, Cameron, Parker & Charlotte. Parker really does adore his little sister; he always wants to hold her.
The ones of just Park, Cam & Seth were taken (in 2005) before Charlotte was born. When Parker looked at them he said, "Oh no, these are when my forehead was really HUGE".

As well you

than obvious!
BUCKROE AMUSEMENT PARK:
It's no secret that when I finally locate that elusive Time Machine, the first place I'll set it will be for the Buckroe Amusement Park in the summer of 1957 so I can go with my family. The second place I'll visit will be the Buckroe Amusement Park in the summer of 1964 so I can go with my friends.
It's little wonder, then, that when these 24 wonderful vintage images began making the rounds almost a year ago, eight of you sent them to me.
Now they've resurfaced, and two more of y'all have sent them to me again - much to my delight! Any time I can visit there - even in my imagination - is a great time for me!

11/13/07 - "How smart are you?":
Cute :-)
Here is something to add a
little stress to your day.
cool little test, goes quick, so pay attention.
Oh, FUN! I usually do not do well on timed tests, just because the pressure makes me extremely nervous (I think I keep expecting an electric shock if I don't answer in time) but I scored a 24 - which allowed them to tell me I'm not stoopid, average being 17.8 - so I feel better about myself.
Thanks, Marty!

Flu Time Coming
Choose your
partners,
one and all,
Aspirin, Advil, or Tylenol!
Now fling those covers with all you've got,
One minute cold, the next minute hot,
Circle right to the side of the bed,
Grab the tissues and Sudafed.
Back to the middle and don't goof off;
Hold your stomach and cough, cough, cough.
Forget about slippers, dash down the hall,
Toss your cookies in the shower stall.
Remember others on the brink;
Wash your hands; wash the sink.
Wipe the doorknob, light switch too,
By George, you've got it, you're doing the Flu!
Some like it cold, some like it hot;
If you like neither, get the shot.
GIGGLES!!! Good for you! Thanks, Herbie Darlin'!
From Cheryl Mays Howard ('66) of VA - 11/13/07 - fyi":

Mad World
-
Roland Orzabal
(Tears for Fears, 1982)
All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
And their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, no tomorrow
And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
'Cause I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very
Mad World
Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday
Made to feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen, sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me, no one knew me
Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson
Look right through me, look right through me
