Ooh Baby Baby

“There is no love without forgiveness, and there is no forgiveness without love.”

- Bryant H. McGill
(b. 07 Nov 1969)

Dear Friends and Schoolmates,

Mmmmmm.  Can you really ever listen to this wonderful golden oldie from 1965 without wanting to dance?!?

BONUS - Ooh Baby Baby - Smokey Robinson and The Miracles

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ooo_Baby_Baby:

"Ooo Baby Baby" is a song written by Smokey Robinson and Pete Moore. It is a classic 1965 hit single by The Miracles for the Tamla (Motown) label. It achieved its greatest commercial success when Linda Ronstadt covered it in 1978 where she reached number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song has inspired numerous other cover versions by other artists over the years, including covers by Ella Fitzgerald, Todd Rundgren, the Five Stairsteps, and many others.

Written by Robinson and fellow Miracle Pete Moore and produced by Robinson, "Ooo Baby Baby" was a number 4 hit on the Billboard R&B singles chart and reached number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100.[1]

A slow, remorseful number, "Ooo Baby Baby" features Miracles lead singer Smokey Robinson lamenting the fact that he cheated on his woman, and begging for her to overlook his mistakes and please forgive him. The song's highly emotional feel is supported by the Miracles' tight background vocal harmonies, arranged by Miracles member and song co-author Pete Moore, and a lush orchestral string arrangement that accents The Funk Brothers band's instrumental track.

In 2004, Rolling Stone ranked the Miracles' original version of this song as #266 on their list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.[2] The song is one of the Miracles' most-covered tunes...

From My Niece, Shari, of VA - 10/31/18 - "Statistics (#5 in a series of 18)":

These numbers are based on a single day. The one that may not be clear is the 5000 - an estimate of how many steps the average person takes in a day. I don't know if anyone else will find these of interest, or as much as I do, but one thing that stood out to me is the imbalance in the numbers. Our dependence on technology is clear. It is certainly a blessing in many ways; just hope it does not make life more isolating.

   WOW! Thank you, Shari!

BONUS NOVEMBER DECORATING IDEA:

Thanksgiving Decor in Natural Autumn Colors - "To celebrate the main autumn holiday and give thanks for everything a good idea is to use the autumn colors: brown, red, orange, a little bit of gold. They look cool, make us feel as if we were celebrating outside and, of course, add coziness. Take colorful tablecloth, napkins and cards for the guests. Use bright tableware and centerpiece of flowers, vegetables and berries. Use pumpkins, gooseberries, leaves, peppers, pears and dry ears for decoration of the table, mantelpiece and candle holders. These colors would give some cheerfulness and relaxation to your party or family dinner."

FINALLY:

From www.ajokeaday.com - 11/04/18:

A man took his place in the theater, but his seat was too far from the stage. He whispered to the usher, "This is a mystery, and I have to watch a mystery close up. Get me a better seat, and I'll give you a handsome tip."

The usher moved him into the second row, and the man handed the usher a quarter. The usher looked at the quarter, leaned over and whispered, "The wife did it."

Ooo Baby Baby

Written by Smokey Robinson and Warren Moore

The Miracles, 1965

Ooo la la la la
I did you wrong, my heart went out to play
But in the game I lost you
What a price to pay, hey I'm crying

Ooo baby baby
Ooo baby baby

Mistakes, I know I've made a few
But I'm only human
You've made mistakes, too, I'm crying

Ooo baby baby
Ooo baby baby

I'm just about at the end of my rope
But I can't stop trying, I can't give up hope
'Cause I feel that one day I'll hold you near
Whisper I still love you
Until that day is here, I'm crying

Ooo baby baby
Ooo baby baby
Ooo baby baby
Ooo baby baby ooo
