Dear Friends and Schoolmates,
Are we not all helplessly hoping for something or other?
BONUS - Helplessly Hoping - Crosby Stills and Nash
|"Helplessly Hoping" is a 1969 song by American
Crosby, Stills, and Nash. It was released on their album
Crosby, Stills & Nash and as the
B-side of the "Marrakesh
The song is noted for its use of alliteration in its lyrics. It was written by Stephen Stills as he went through a painful break-up with Judy Collins, herself in therapy at the time. This, "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" and "49 Bye-Byes" were frank dissemination of his longing to help her through her difficulties juxtaposed against her inability, not unwillingness, to accept his aid as she struggled in therapy and eventually allied herself with Stacy Keach.

numbers are based on a single day. The one that may not be clear is the 5000 -
an estimate of how many steps the average person takes in a day. I don't know if
anyone else will find these of interest, or as much as I do, but one thing that
stood out to me is the imbalance in the numbers. Our dependence on technology is
clear. It is certainly a blessing in many ways; just hope it does not make life
WOW! Thank you, Shari!
BONUS NOVEMBER DECORATING IDEA:
From www.ajokeaday.com - 11/03/18:
|After waiting more than an hour and a half for
her date, Sarah decided she had been stood up.
Exasperated, she changed from her dinner dress into pajamas and slippers, fixed some popcorn and hot chocolate, and resigned herself to an evening of TV.
No sooner had she flopped down in front of the TV when the doorbell rang. Her dad went to the door, and there stood her date.
He took one look at Sarah on the couch and gasped. "I'm two hours late and she's still not ready?"
