Aunt Edd was a dear, sweet, kind, patient, and caring person. I cherish her memory from my earliest age, and throughout my life. She always made me feel loved, as she cared for all her nieces and nephews.
Her treasures were her wonderful husband and sons, and their families.
We will always treasure her memory.

My dear Aunt Edd is also survived by one sister, Barbara Lee Pearson Stortz Jobe of Newport News. Edd was predeceased by one brother, Gordon Trout Pearson, and three sisters: Laura Estelle Pearson Pace; Virginia Marian Pearson Burcher; and Berkeley Hope Pearson Presson.
My sisters and I were the lucky nieces of all of those Pearson siblings. We have so many loving memories of them all, and especially Aunt Edd at this time. She was a kind and beautiful spirit.
Love from Ginny's family and from Dave

O Love That Will Not Let Me Go

Words by George Matheson (27 Mar 1842 - 28 Aug 1906). 1882

Music by Albert Lister Peace (26 Jan 1844 - 14 Mar 1912), 1884

O Love that will not let me go,
I rest my weary soul in thee;
I give thee back the life I owe,
That in thine ocean depths its flow
May richer, fuller be.

O light that followest all my way,
I yield my flickering torch to thee;
My heart restores its borrowed ray,
That in thy sunshine’s blaze its day
May brighter, fairer be.

O Joy that seekest me through pain,
I cannot close my heart to thee;
I trace the rainbow through the rain,
And feel the promise is not vain,
That morn shall tearless be.

O Cross that liftest up my head,
I dare not ask to fly from thee;
I lay in dust life’s glory dead,
And from the ground there blossoms red
Life that shall endless be.
