ATTENTION: MEMBERS OF THE CLASS OF 1964!!

IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS
FOR OUR 60TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION!!

Ya’ll didn’t believe that we were serious about that September 1st deadline “thing”,
did you? We did that just to get you motivated.

The truth is that you can still sign up and pay at the door. If you don’t want to miss a great party with FREE BEER AND WINE, then send us an e-mail at
nnhs64@cox.net
and let us know how many will be attending. When you arrive at 7:00 PM on Saturday, 14 October, Faith Strickland Groom (ably assisted by her husband, Nelson) will be happy to accept your cash or check for $25.00 per person at the door.

This is your last chance to get in on all the fun, food, dancing, and perhaps, a birthday surprise. And, did I mention FREE BEER AND WINE?

Be sure to bring you cameras. We look forward to seeing you there.

---Your NNHS 64/60 Birthday Celebration Committee---

From Garland Rigney ('67) of VA - 10/11/06 - "USMC":

Garland Rigney - class of 1967 - usmc 1969-1970

Garland, you're a man of few words, but I caught your drift:

I never did seem to get the chance to talk with you at the reunion, which is too bad, because I've been trying for years to remember what class we were in together - Mrs. Thomas' speech class?  Mr. Burke's Geography class? Some math class?  I know it was sumpin'.....

Anyway, I could find neither your junior picture nor your senior picture, so I didn't post one on that page, but here you are, listed with the other Famous Marines:

Thanks, Garland - and Semper Fi!

From Ron Miller ('59) of NC - 10/12/06 - "A Halloween pun":

Carol -- you wanna pun -- u geta pun! Here's a really baaaaad Halloween pun:

A man was walking home alone late one foggy night, when behind him he hears:

BUMP...

BUMP...

BUMP...

Walking faster, he looks back and through the fog he makes out the image of
an upright casket banging its way down the middle of the street toward him.

BUMP...

BUMP...

BUMP...

Terrified, the man begins to run toward his home, the casket bouncing
quickly behind him

FASTER...

FASTER...

BUMP...

BUMP...

BUMP...

He runs up to his door, fumbles with his keys, opens the door, rushes in, slams and locks the door behind him

However, the casket crashes through his door, with the lid of the casket clapping

clappity-BUMP...

clappity-BUMP...

clappity-BUMP...

on his heels, the terrified man runs.

Rushing upstairs to the bathroom, the man locks himself in. His heart is pounding; his head is reeling; his breath is coming in sobbing gasps.

With a loud CRASH the casket breaks down the door.

Bumping and clapping toward him.

The man screams and reaches for something, anything, but all he can find is a bottle of cough syrup!

Desperate, he throws the cough syrup at the casket...

and,

(hopefully you're ready for this!!!)

The coffin stops.

OHHHHH, Ronnie, that was so delightfully BAAAADD!!!  WILD GIGGLES!!!  Thanks!

From One of my Famous Marines -    Herb Hice of MI, who served in the Pacific Theater
during WWII - 10/12/06 - "Dear Carol, Herb & King Salmon":

Dear Carol,

This is me a few years ago, I used to catch some pretty big King Salmon in Lake Michigan. I have slowed down a little in the last few years, The only Salmon I get now days is over at the restaurant where I eat every day.

I like a little Tabasco sauce on my fish, As a matter of fact, I like Tabasco Sauce on most of my food. I may have sent you this picture before SO, if I did, Just enjoy it again, My record keeping is atrocious. It's bad, also.

Your Friend, Herbie

I think perhaps you may have sent me this before, Herbie Darlin', but I also think I never used it because I was swamped at that moment.  Maybe.  "Possibly maybe."

But I know I love Tabasco sauce - especially on my breakfast eggs, lightly scrambled in butter!  Mmmm - yummy!

   Thanks, Herbie!

It Won't Be Long

Words and Music by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, 1963

(The Beatles)

It won't be long yeh, yeh, yeh
It won't be long yeh, yeh, yeh
It won't be long yeh, till I belong to you

Every night when everybody has fun
Here am I sitting all on my own

It won't be long yeh, yeh, yeh
It won't be long yeh, yeh, yeh
It won't be long yeh, till I belong to you

Since you left me, I'm so alone
Now you're coming, you're coming on home
I'll be good like I know I should
You're coming home, you're coming home

Every night the tears come down from my eyes
Every day I've done nothing but cry

It won't be long yeh, yeh, yeh
It won't be long yeh, yeh, yeh
It won't be long yeh, till I belong to you

Since you left me, I'm so alone
Now you're coming, you're coming on home
I'll be good like I know I should
You're coming home, you're coming home

So every day we'll be happy I know
Not I know that you won't leave me no more

It won't be long yeh, yeh, yeh
It won't be long yeh, yeh
It won't be long yeh, till I belong to you, woo
