Miss You Like Crazy

“Gone — flitted away,
Taken the stars from the night and the sun
From the day!
Gone, and a cloud in my heart.”

- Alfred, Lord Tennyson
(06 Aug 1809 - 06 Oct 1892)

Dear Friends and Schoolmates,

OHHH, how I LOVE good ol' crybaby love songs!

BONUS - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLaCAfBbqng - Miss You Like Crazy - Natalie Cole

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miss_You_Like_Crazy

"Miss You Like Crazy" is a song recorded by Natalie Cole and released in 1989 from her album Good to Be Back. It was a huge hit for Cole, becoming her fifth Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, where the song peaked at #7. The song also topped both the R&B and adult contemporary charts in 1989, as well as reaching #2 on the UK Singles Chart. The song is a moving ballad where the singer describes how she is feeling lonely and is longing for the one she misses "like crazy" (or, in other words, very much).

THE YAYS:

From Sydney Dearing ('56) of TN - 10/07/15, 11:00 AM:

Carol,

I am elated that I am getting the newsletters again. The only problem I am having with them is that there is no audio when they open. Everything else works fine, I can even open the you-tube links and the audio on them works fine.

Sydney Dearing

SUPER! Thanks so much, Sydney! I am delighted to have you rejoining us!

There is that speck of bad news on the automatic sounds, though. It seems that midi files are obsolete. My own enjoyment of them disappeared two years ago when my computer was updated. Technically, they're still there, but because they aren't supported, they cannot be heard. I wish they hadn't withdrawn that support, because, well, I miss them like crazy!

From Peggy Johnson ('60) of VA - 10/07/15, 7:30 PM:

THEY ALL WORK! ON MY ANDROID PHONE! YEA FOR CAROL!!

Peggy Sue

  WHOO-HOO! Thanks, Peggy Sue!

From Henry Hoyle ('65) of Northern VA - 10/07/15, 9:16 PM:

Hi Cousin,

Methods A and C work fine for me. Method B does not—it has an embedded space in it, which keeps it from working. If I go to the window that Method B creates and edit out the space which shows up as “%20” then it works.

Henry

AHA! The old "embedded space" trick! Ja, that would do it, fer shurr! Thanks, Cousin Henry! The mystery remains how it jumped into the link in the first place, but it really doesn't matter anymore, because we're going with METHOD C! YAY for METHOD C!!

From Marc Snyder ('65) of NC - 10/07/15 - "Be Kind":

Thank you so much, Marc, that is exactly so!

From My Friend, Roshana, of TX - 10/07/15:

Thank you, Roshana; I keep telling myself this!

From The Walking Dead - 10/08/15 - "Three More Days":

“Sit down or I’ll put you down.”

Season Six of The Walking Dead premieres Sunday, October 11 at 9:00/8:00 on AMC!

   Be there.

FINALLY:

From www.ajokeaday.com - 10/07/15:

An attorney, anxious to impress the judge with the detail, asked the following line of questions of a doctor who had recently performed an autopsy.

Q: Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check for a pulse?

A: No.

Q: Did you check for blood pressure?

A: No.

Q: Did you check for breathing?

A: No.

Q: So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you began the autopsy?

A: No.

Q: How can you be so sure, Doctor?

A: Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar.

Q: But could the patient have still been alive, nevertheless?

A: Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and practicing law somewhere.

Miss You Like Crazy

Written by
Michael Masser and Gerry Goffin

Recorded by Natalie Cole, 1989
(b. 06 Feb 1950)

Even though it's been so long, my love for you keeps going strong
I remember the things that we used to do, a kiss in the rain
'Til the sun shined through, I'd try to deny it, but I'm still in love with you
I miss you like crazy, I miss you like crazy, ever since you went away
Every hour of every day, I miss you like crazy, I miss you like crazy
No matter what I say or do, there's just no getting over you

I can see the love shining in your eyes, and it comes as such a sweet surprise
If seeing's believing it's worth the wait, so hold me and tell me it's not too late
We're so good together, we're starting forever now, and I miss you like crazy
I miss you like crazy, ever since you went away, every hour of every day
I miss you like crazy, I miss you, baby, a love like ours will never end
Just touch me and we're there again

Musical interlude

Just one night and we'll have that magic feeling like we used to do
Hold on tight and whatever comes our way we're gonna make it through
If seeing's believing it's worth the wait, so hold me and tell me it's not too late
We're so good together, we're starting forever now
And I miss you like crazy, I miss you like crazy
No matter what I say or do there's just no getting over you

And I miss you (baby), I miss you (baby), all the tender love you gave me
When a feeling gets this strong, you know the real thing's come along
And I miss you, I miss you like crazy, baby, only your sweet love
Can save me, I miss you like crazy, a love like ours will never end
Just touch me and we're there again,
Miss you like crazy, I miss you like crazy
