Linda, I especially hope you see this. I have so many wonderful memories of being in your home as a child. Your mom was always so gentle and sweet to me. In 2007, we stopped by YBC and ended up in an impromptu lunch with a number of folks -- your mom joined us. Joe and Craig, you may not remember me but my heart goes out to all of you.

Linda, I have been out of town, so I just heard about your mom. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. She will be missed.

My Faith Looks Up to Thee

Words by Ray Palmer, 1830

Music by
Lowell Mason (08 Jan 1792 - 11 Aug 1872), 1832

My faith looks up to Thee,
Thou Lamb of Calvary,
Savior divine!
Now hear me while I pray,
Take all my guilt away,
O let me from this day
Be wholly Thine!

May Thy rich grace impart
Strength to my fainting heart,
My zeal inspire!
As Thou hast died for me,
O may my love to Thee,
Pure warm, and changeless be,
A living fire!

While life's dark maze I tread,
And griefs around me spread,
Be Thou my Guide;
Bid darkness turn to day,
Wipe sorrow's tears away,
Nor let me ever stray
From Thee aside.

When ends life's transient dream,
When death's cold sullen stream
Over me roll;
Blest Savior, then in love,
Fear and distrust remove;
O bear me safe above,
A ransomed soul!
