10/05/19 - NNHS Newsletter - You Forgot All the Words

Where you used to be, there is a hole in the world, which I find myself constantly
walking around in the daytime, and falling in at night. I miss you like hell.

- Edna St. Vincent Millay
(22 Feb 1892 - 19 Oct 1950)

Dear Friends and Schoolmates,

It's Frank again - with another fine sad love song. There's no midi file for it (if indeed your computer even plays midi files anymore), so just enjoy Frank's beautiful voice.

BONUS - You Forgot All the Words - Frank Sinatra

 From Mike Fordham ('66) of FL - 10/04/19, 12:44 PM - " Danny Crockett - Class of 1965":

I thought you would like to know that Danny Crockett died in his sleep on 9-28-19. He was married to my sister Robin ('67) for many years. They had 3 handsome boys who we are proud of. They divorced many years ago, and Danny remarried. He has been living in the Orlando area for many years.

Your friend,
Mike Fordham.

Oh, Mikey! I took one look at your note and just fell apart. Danny wrote me a long note several months ago about Eddie Beasley ('64). First I didnt find it. Then my systems were all upgraded and I didnt know what I was doing. Then I procrastinated, not knowing the right things to say and I never said anything at all.

Thank you so much for letting me know! Im so very sorry!

BONUS CROCHET PATTERNS (Sorry, not theme related):

10 Crochet Beanie Hat Patterns - "Crochet beanie hats are the perfect all-purpose gift: Babies need hats, elderly people wear hats, and so does almost everyone in between; they're great for keeping your head warm in cold weather but they also make a stylish accessory. A handmade beanie is special because you made it by hand with someone in mind the whole time you were creating it. But this project can also serve a purpose, like as a charity crochet project for those undergoing chemo, for example."

You Forgot All the Words

Words by Bernie Wayne (06 Mar 1919 - 18 Apr 1993)

Music by  E. H. Jay (Eve J. Zeserson)

Recorded by Frank Sinatra (12 Dec 1915 14 May 1998), 1956

Love was like a song
A lovely melody
Our hearts would sing along
In perfect harmony
But you forgot all the words
While I still remember the tune

Each time our lips would cling
I heard a serenade
Of love and youth and spring
Forever to be played
But you forgot all the words
While I still remember the tune

We used to dance
Instead of walk
We used to sing
Instead of talk
That used to be
Only the start of the blues for me

But songs are funny things
They never really die
And so my hope still clings
That someday you will try
To just remember the words
For I still remember the tune

When lonely lights are lit
And midnight songs will start
Our song I must admit
Still fills my hopeful heart
So please remember the words
For I still remember the tune
