“No Spring nor Summer Beauty hath such grace
Dear Friends and Schoolmates,
At 9:30 AM EDT today, Fall officially began. And because this is one of my favorite songs, it repeats every year as well.
BONUS #1 - Autumn Leaves - Nat King Cole
BONUS #2 - Autumn Leaves - Frank Sinatra
BONUS #3 - Autumn Leaves (Les Feuilles Mortes) - Edith Piaf
"Autumn Leaves" is a popular song. Originally it was a 1945 French song, "fr:Les feuilles mortes" (literally "The Dead Leaves"), with music by Hungarian-French composer Joseph Kosma and lyrics by poet Jacques Prévert. The Hungarian title is "Hulló levelek" (Falling Leaves). Yves Montand (with Irène Joachim) introduced "Les feuilles mortes" in the film Les Portes de la nuit (1946).

you so much for this valuable data, Adrienne!
Some many people (out of
wishful thinking, perhaps) tend to dismiss these clues.
I had a friend back who back in the fall of 1967 systematically - and smilingly - went around and visited all his friends. When I told my mama (an extremely knowledgeable and perceptive woman) that he'd come by to see me at work that day, she told me it sounded to her as though he was saying goodbye. Sure enough, we received word that night that he had ended his life - which haunts me to this day.
From My Friend, Mariel, of NC - 09/18/18:
EXACTAMUNDO! Thank you, Mariel!
From Jimmy Hines ('64) of VA - 09/20/18:

when you bite into them.”
