I will always remember, with laughter, the true story of Big G & John Boy as they tried to help a young girl whose car would not start. The guys wanted to 'push start' the car but because the car was so low compared to the height of the truck they were in, Big G sat on the rear of the car and put his feet up against the front of the truck. However, when the car started, she drove off and Big G fell beneath the truck. He then grabbed the frame and was dragged by the truck. This left him with numerous lacerations across his back, and the hospital personnel wanted to call the police when they heard that he had been hit by a truck.

That's the kind of guy Big G was...always full of laughter. We were co-workers at the Waterworks for many years. I am sorry for his family's loss.

What a wonderful man with so much kindness and humor in his heart. He was a gift to all who knew him. I remember when his mom passed away and I took a pot roast dinner over to the house. Garett said he wanted to marry me. Only Garett would make a compliment like that, so funny. There was the time that G called the office, Sandi answered the phone and thought it was Claudia. That's all I can share about that story.
Claudia, we will be thinking of you and know that your strengths and family and friends will help you along. No doubt G is wrestling pipes in heaven with lots of blue ribbons and trophies. Love to all, Susan and Bobby Guillotte

My deepest sympathy and condolences to my dearest friend Claudia and her precious children ,Hunter and Emily. My heart breaks for all his friends and family. Please know that everyone who knew Garett knows his greatest joy and love for life was wrapped up in his family - okay, and hunting and fishing. Let's be real!

I personally will never forget his infectious laughter and smile. I am grateful he always included me in Claudia's milestone birthday parties and Luis and Clara Romero's anniversary. He was an amazing husband and father. He was fiercely loyal to his entire family and those who were lucky enough to be called his friend. He will be missed and he will never be forgotten!

This Is My Father's World

Words by Maltbie D. Babcock, 1901
Traditional English Melody (Terra Beata), arranged by Franklin L. Sheppard, 1915

This is my Fatherís world, and to my listening ears
All nature sings, and round me rings the music of the spheres.
This is my Fatherís world: I rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas;
His hand the wonders wrought.

This is my Fatherís world, the birds their carols raise,
The morning light, the lily white, declare their Makerís praise.
This is my Fatherís world: He shines in all thatís fair;
In the rustling grass I hear Him pass;
He speaks to me everywhere.

This is my Fatherís world. O let me neíer forget
That though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the ruler yet.
This is my Fatherís world: the battle is not done:
Jesus Who died shall be satisfied,
And earth and Heavín be one.

This is my Fatherís world, dreaming, I see His face.
I ope my eyes, and in glad surprise cry, ďThe Lord is in this place.Ē
This is my Fatherís world, from the shining courts above,
The Beloved One, His Only Son,
Cameóa pledge of deathless love.

This is my Fatherís world, should my heart be ever sad?
The lord is Kingólet the heavens ring. God reignsólet the earth be glad.
This is my Fatherís world. Now closer to Heaven bound,
For dear to God is the earth Christ trod.
No place but is holy ground.

This is my Fatherís world. I walk a desert lone.
In a bush ablaze to my wondering gaze God makes His glory known.
This is my Fatherís world, a wanderer I may roam
Whateíer my lot, it matters not,
My heart is still at home.
