From the Daily Press - 05/05/19:

                        Russell Andrew Winkler, Jr.

LAS VEGAS, NV - Russell A. Winkler Jr. passed away peacefully at the age of 71 at his home in Las Vegas, NV on Sunday, September 1, 2019.

Russell was a 40 year veteran of the I.B.E.W., an army paratrooper, a father, a grandfather and a devoted husband of 49 years to his wife Natalie.

He loved his family, playing pool and being outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who more than anything enjoyed being in the woods, surrounded by the beauty of nature.

He was tall, handsome, quick witted and clever, and he made friends easily and often. His simple philosophy of "Always do your best." served him well over his long life, as he was admired and loved by all who knew him.

Worked with Russ and for him for years. Always a good brother and strong union man. Knew him since the Boys Club. Thoughts are with the whole family.

Dear Natalie and Family: I am so sorry for your lost. Brian and Wink worked and traveled together in the 70's. Also, George and Richard were part of the foursome. They all enjoyed each other and had many great times together. The union picnics and dances were special. If I can do anything or you just want to talk please call me. In loving memory, Carolyn Christenbury

I've known Russ since we worked and lived together on the road in the mid 70's. Russ was a first class person, and he made work more enjoyable. He always had a smile on his face, and was what I call and what every person would want to be called, a ROLE MODEL. I could write pages of good things about Russ.
I know the family will never fully recover from this loss, but, you can remember you had one of the best in your lives.

With love and care,
