BONUS LABOR DAY CROCHET PATTERNS:

Celebrate Labor Day with 6 Workhorse Crochet Patterns - "Today is Labor Day in the United States, which for most people just means a 3-day weekend. But Labor Day is more than just an extra day off—it’s a day to honor the contributions workers have made to our country. This Labor Day, while you’re enjoying (or maybe lamenting) the official end of summer, take a few moments to celebrate the work you and your loved ones did over the past year! Remind yourself that even though work can sometimes feel like a slog, you’re making an important contribution to your family, your community, and your country (and the world!). To celebrate our nation’s workers, we’ve put together a list of our 6 favorite workhorse crochet patterns. These projects will keep you comfortable while you’re doing your 9 to 5 thing, whatever it may be."

BONUS LABOR DAY KNIT PATTERNS:

Jane Addams, Labor Day . . . and Knitting! - "Is knitting a part of Labor Day? It is, in a round-about way . . . ."

Coming to America

Written and Performed by
Neil Diamond

Far
We’ve been traveling far
Without a home
But not without a star

Free
Only want to be free
We huddle close
Hang on to a dream

On the boats and on the planes
They’re coming to America
Never looking back again
They’re coming to America

Home, don’t it seem so far away
Oh, we’re traveling light today
In the eye of the storm
In the eye of the storm

Home, to a new and a shiny place
Make our bed, and we’ll say grace
Freedom’s light burning warm
Freedom’s light burning warm

Everywhere around the world
They’re coming to America
Every time that flag’s unfurled
They’re coming to America

Got a dream to take them there
They’re coming to America
Got a dream they’ve come to share
They’re coming to America

They’re coming to America
They’re coming to America
They’re coming to America
They’re coming to America
Today, today, today, today, today

My country ’tis of thee
(today)
Sweet land of liberty
(today)
Of thee I sing
(today)
Of thee I sing
(today)
