Dear Friends and Schoolmates,   

   There is still more sad news this Wednesday.   Anne Robins Dunaway Zanetti, Class of June 1942, mother of   Lewis Dunaway ('61) of VA, and sister of the late Jean Robins Likens (@ '41) (10 June 1923 - 15 Aug 2012), passed away in Newport News on Tuesday, September 01, 2015 at the age of 91.

                 Anne Robins Dunaway Zanetti

    NEWPORT NEWS - Anne Robins Dunaway Zanetti, born in Wachapreague, Virginia, July 1, 1924, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015.

She moved to Newport News in 1937 and graduated from Newport News High School in June of 1942.

Anne retired from the Newport News Shipbuilding in 1986 with 26 years of service in X10 and Production Control.

She was also a member of Northside Christian Church and a resident of The Hidenwood Retirement Center.

She is survived by her son, Lewis Thomas Dunaway, Jr. and his wife, Gertrude of Newport News; two grandchildren, Lewis Dunaway III of Canada and Lisa Dunaway of Newport News; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

 
 
 
 
  Mrs. Zanetti was preceded in death by her first husband, Lewis Thomas Dunaway, Sr.; her second husband, Marco Robert Zanetti, Sr.; and her sister, Jean Robins Likens of Franklin, North Carolina.

Thanks to Jane Rappold Seaman and Evelyn Smith for standing by her side during happiness and sorrow for over 50 years.

The family will receive friends at the Peninsula Funeral Home on Thursday, September 3, 2015, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 4, at Peninsula Memorial Park in the "Garden of the Good Shepherd".

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Northside Christian Church Building Fund, 1300 George Washington Memorial Highway, Yorktown, VA 23693.
