Surrealistic Pillow. It was released as a single and became
the band's second top ten success, peaking at #8
Billboard Hot 100. The song was ranked #483 on

500 Greatest Songs of All Time,
Rate Your Music's Top Singles of All Time and appears on
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll.
“White Rabbit” was written by
Grace Slick while she was still with
The Great Society. When that band broke up in 1966, Slick was
invited to join
Jefferson Airplane to replace their departed female singer
Signe Toly Anderson, who left the band with the birth of her
child. The first album Slick recorded with Jefferson Airplane was
Surrealistic Pillow, and Slick provided two songs from her
previous group: her own “White Rabbit” and “Somebody to Love”,
written by Darby Slick and recorded under the title "Someone to
Love" by The Great Society. Both songs became breakout successes for
Jefferson Airplane and have since been associated with that band...

Born 3 June 1926 in Tacoma, Washington.
Died 19 April 2014 in Vashon Island, Washington. (King County)
I searched Ancestry.com for obituary, but it is not available yet.
Newspaper in that area obituaries are in archives now.
I have a photo of him in Oslo, where he accepted command on USS Macon Marine Detachment.
Adams served as XO, Marine Detachment, USS Salt Lake City (CA-25) before
taking command of the Marine Detachment, USS Macon while in port at
WOWZERONI! Thank you so much, Major Madagan!
No sir, you had not previously sent Captain Adams' name to me for inclusion on Famous Marines, but he's listed there now!

announce that as of midnight this morning, the ten day revocation
period (for the birth mother to change her mind) has expired.
Although we weren't very nervous about it, Ben's birth mother is a
very confident, wonderful young woman, it's nice to be one step
closer to a final adoption.
