Webmistress,
It is with a broken heart that I report my sister Fayetta M. (Covert) Stansbury (Ferguson HS '72) died Thursday night June 3, 2010, at Holmes Regional Hospital Center, Melbourne, FL. A celebration of her life was held Wednesday June 9, 2010 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Boynton Beach, FL with interment in Boca Raton Cemetery and Mausoleum.
She was daughter of Mary E. (Goodson) Covert and the late Rev. Harry M. Covert Sr. She is survived by her husband Timothy Stansbury, daughter Erin S. Greaves and husband Julian; and three grandsons; brothers The Rev. Harry M. Covert Jr. and Norman M. Covert both of Frederick, MD; sister Rachel (Covert) Paquette of Southborough, MA; Aunts Christine (Goodson) Hensel of Newport News, Arlene (Goodson) Davis, Charleston, SC; Myra (Goodson) Jessen of Hayes, VA; and Uncle Carl C. Goodson and wife Margaret (Taylor) Goodson of Nellysford, VA; and large extended family.
Fay attended Stonewall Jackson Elementary School and Newport News High School where she sang in the chorus and was a member of the Typhoon Marching Band percussion playing Glockenspiel and Concert Band playing French Horn. With the close of NNHS, Fay was transferred to Ferguson High School and was a member of its 1972 senior class.

Arnaud, Toulouse (France) June 11, 2010 ![]() Several of us (cousins) who grew up with Faye would have loved to be with you all during this time but health problems and distance prevented it. Even though I have never met you Tim, I know how much Faye loved you and how wonderful you were to her. Erin, I'm so, so sorry that your momma had to leave you so soon, so early in her life. My heart really goes out to you since I too have children and grandchildren and can't imagine this happening. You've been a wonderfully loving, supportive daughter to her, and she sure knew it. I can't help but cry every day thinking about her and knowing I'll never see her again on this earth. I do have the hope and assurance that I will see her again with the rest of the family when we all meet in heaven one day. Please keep in touch, Love, Sherry Hensel Huycke June 11, 2010
Harry, Norm and Rachael, I am so very sorry to hear of your lost. Not only is your sister in my prayers but all your family as well. May God bless you with peace and understanding. ~ L. Crayton '66, Hampton, Virginia June 14, 2010 Dear Harry and family, ~ Mickey and Carol
