Dear Friends and Schoolmates,  

   There is more sad news this Sunday morning.
Dot Carter McKay, Class of 1953, passed away in Newport News on Tuesday, June 05, 2018 at the age of 84.

                  Dorothy Carter McKay

   

NEWPORT NEWS - Dorothy Carter McKay, 84, a lifelong Peninsula resident, died Tuesday, June 5, 2018.

A Newport News High School graduate, she was a dispatcher for C & P Telephone Company, from which she retired after 37 years of service.

She also enjoyed being around and sharing with her family and "Silver Sneakers" friends.

Survivors include her three daughters, Tina Brinkley (Wes), Deborah Westphal (Jim), and Joanna Miller; six grandchildren, Stephanie Ware (John), Christal Salman (Justin), Alex Westphal (Mizzy), Chelsie Baker (Josh), Liz Maunz (Chris), and Rebecca Brown (Jared); and one great-grandchild, Jaxon Westphal.

 

 
 
 


A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Parklawn Memorial Park.
