“Though we are incomplete, God loves us completely. Though we are imperfect, He loves us perfectly. Though we may feel lost and without compass, God's love encompasses us completely. ... He loves every one of us, even those who are flawed, rejected, awkward, sorrowful, or broken.

    Thanks so much, Susan!

From Jimmy Dick ('65) of FL - 06/08/19, 9:04 AM - "THE GRASS REALLY DOES GROW GREENER OVER THE SEPTIC TANK!":

Anyone who has read that great story by Erma Bombeck will have to smile at this post, for one of the things you have to deal with living in the country is the septic system. Now, our system works well, is serviced when needed, but there is one big problem. When we get a lot of rain with our raised system, it becomes difficult to mow the grass on the top. I won't ride the mower on it when it is wet and a push mower, even with the self-propelled option, just really doesn't work very well for this close friend of Arthur Ritis who love to bother me from time to time. So, what's this old boy to do? Well, maybe the Good Lord has provided another avenue for accomplishment as an added blessing.

You see, a big, beautiful doe has begun to visit the ground routinely, early and late in the day, and see just loves my grass up there. I guess I am now her feeding station, and since I personally couldn't shoot a deer myself, I just watch her graze from the inside. She looks at me, but with the tinted windows I'm not sure whether she can see me or not. But here are two pictures of her this morning at her breakfast time. Glory to God for all the beautiful animals He places in His creation for us to enjoy.

   Thank you, Jimmy!

From Mary Massey Lyle ('61) of PA - 06/07/18:

WOW! Thank you ever so much for this life-saving information, Mary!

From Joyce Lawrence Cahoon ('65) of VA - 06/03/19, 8:22 PM:

  Just finished my latest afghan!!!

WOWZERS! Thank you for sharing this, Joyce! Nice job!

From My Cousin Jean's Daughter, Samantha, of VA - 06/02/18:

BRILLIANT! Thanks so much for this vital reminder, Samantha! Even knowing these things, it seems to be very difficult for many of us to remember not to blurt out these insensitive and hurtful responses!

From My Cousin, Cheryl White Wilson (James Blair HS / John Marshall HS - '64) of VA - 06/06/19, 10:03 AM:

  ABSOLUTELY! Thank you, Cheryl!

From Jerry Blanchard ('62) of VA - 06/07/18:

  Thanks, Jerry!

BONUS SHAVUOT DECORATING IDEAS:

Decorative Shavuot Flower Garland - "I love decorating my home with flowers for Shavuot. It reminds us of when G‑d gave us the Torah on beautiful Mount Sinai, which He lavishly decorated with flowers. I usually fill all the vases with my favorite picks and place the vases all over my home. This year, I wanted to do something different, and I decided the tissue paper garlands that I see everywhere could be easily adapted for the holiday."
