Pauline Elkin Friedman
(d. 5 June 2007)

Dear Friends and Schoolmates,

There is more sad news this evening.  Pauline Elkin Friedman, mother of   Mark Friedman ('65) of VA and of Steve Friedman of GA, has passed away in Georgia at the age of 85.

From Me ('65) of NC  to    Dave Arnold ('65) of VA - 06/07/07, 7:59 AM:

You know I'm not a big fan of reality, but I'm running out of ways to deny this.....  Is this our Mark whose mother passed away??

From Dave Arnold ('65) of VA - 06/07/07, 1:10 PM:

A few minutes ago I confirmed with a spokesman at  Mark’s business that it was Mark’s mother that passed away.  You have the details for the burial so I would suggest you go ahead and post the information.

   Thank you, Dave.

Dear Mark; I was so sorry to hear of your mother's death. I remember so well sitting with her in the front yard of the house on Wickham Avenue while brushing her long hair. Pauline was a sweet lady. I learned many things from her and have many fond memories of those days in the old Stuart Gardens neighborhood. My love and prayers are with you and your family. Love Judy Ware Buchanan
