We have another sad Memorial Edition of the NNHS Newsletter today.
Mary Lou Ballinger Cooper, Class of February 1946,
passed away at Envoy
of Williamsburg Nursing Home in Williamsburg on Thursday, May 29, 2012 at the
age of 84.

Mary Lou Ballinger Cooper
WILLIAMSBURG - Mary Lou Cooper, 84, died Tuesday, May 29,
2012, at Envoy of Williamsburg Nursing Home. A longtime resident of the Virginia Peninsula, Mary Lou "Basketball Ballinger" graduated from Newport News High school where she excelled in sports (Varsity Club, President of the Girls Athletic Association, Captain of Softball and Basketball teams). She worked for the USPS and the American Cancer Society. Predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Cooper, she is survived by her sons, Richard Cooper (Alachua, Fla.) and Larry Cooper (Newport News, Va.); and her five grandchildren. Service is private.
