05/04/18 - NNHS Newsletter - Star Wars Day

“May the Fourth Be With You.”

Dear Friends and Schoolmates,

Today is Star Wars Day. Are you celebrating appropriately?

BONUS - John Williams Conducts The Main Theme From Star Wars

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_music:

The music of Star Wars was written by composer John Williams and performed by the London Symphony Orchestra for all six feature films, from 1977 to 2005. This encompasses both the original trilogy, the first three films, and the prequel trilogy, the last three films. As of July 2013, Lucasfilm President, Kathleen Kennedy, announced at Star Wars Celebration Europe that Williams would be returning once more to score Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.[1] Williams' scores for the two existing trilogies count among the most widely known and popular contributions to modern film music. Additionally, music for Star Wars: The Clone Wars was written by Kevin Kiner, and further music has been composed for Star Wars video games and works in other media. The 2016 spinoff film Star Wars: Rogue One will be scored by Alexandre Desplat,[2] the first major Star Wars film not to use Williams.....

HEALTH UPDATE:

From Ruth Ann Reece Horace ('67) of FL - 05/03/18, 2:07 PM:

Carol,

Just wanted to let you know the latest update on my husband, Harry. The mass is large and has taken over most of his right kidney. The good news is it is confined to that kidney, is slow growing, and shows up nowhere else. They will remove that kidney on June 4 and that should be the end of it. Left one is healthy and has been taking over a lot from the right on already. Other than blood work and scans to insure all is well, he should not have to have anything else done to make a full recovery. Thank you to everyone for your prayers. They have worked!

Lots of Love to all the NNHS Family.
Ruthie

Thanks so much for the update, Ruthie! We'll be keeping you and Harry in our hearts and prayers!

The Rule Of Nature

Nothing In Nature lives for Itself.
Rivers don't drink their own water.
Trees don't eat their own fruit.
The sun doesn't shine for itself.
A flower's fragrance is not for itself.

Living for each other is the rule of Nature.

Spirals In Nature-- Interesting clip

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEaFQadg8rY
More on nature spiraling. It is fascinating to learn about facts and similarities in God's creations. Such detail in the geometry ("sacred geometry'). Doubt we will ever learn everything, but to quit learning leads to stagnation and decline. It's a little on the long side, but if you are folding laundry, or cleaning a room, makes for interesting listening.

(Same Song)
There is a swear word at the end, so
if you get offended please cut off, before 4:40. I like this version better, cuz he is silly at the beginning and they end it with humor....and most importantly it's more kick a, as it's louder; however that just may be me.

I listen to this song daily and sometimes twice.
Finding a song that appeals to you is another way of increasing the feel good hormones, therefore boosting health.

FINALLY:

From www.ajokeaday.com - 05/03/18:

During a conference, I was pleasantly surprised to be seated next to a very handsome man. We flirted casually through dinner, then grew restless as the dignitaries gave speeches. During one particularly long-winded lecture, my new friend drew a # sign on a cocktail napkin. Elated, I wrote down my phone number.

Looking startled for a moment, he drew another # sign, this time adding an X to the upper-left-hand corner.
