04/14/18 - NNHS Newsletter - Let's Stay Together

“Why can't we get all the people together in the world that we really like
and then just stay together? I guess that wouldn't work. Someone
would leave. Someone always leaves. Then we would have to say
good-bye. I hate good-byes. I know what I need. I need more hellos.”

- Snoopy - as quoted by Charles M. Schulz
(26 Nov 1922 - 12 Feb 2000)

Dear Friends and Schoolmates,

We haven't used this theme in a couple of years, so I thought we'd revisit it now.

FINALLY:

From http://www.ajokeaday.com - 04/13/18:

A travel agent looked up from his desk to see an older lady and an older gentleman peering in the shop window at the posters showing the glamorous destinations around the world. The agent had had a good week and the dejected couple looking in the window gave him a feeling of generosity.

He called them into his shop and said, "I have a surprise for you. I am sending you off to a fabulous resort at my expense, and I won't take no for an answer."

He took them inside and asked his secretary to write two flight tickets and book a room in a five star hotel. They, as can be expected, gladly accepted, and were on their way.

About a month later the little lady came into his shop.

"And how did you like your holiday?" he asked eagerly.

"The flight was exciting, and the room was lovely," she said. "I've come to thank you. But, one thing puzzled me. Who was that old guy I had to share the room with?"

Let's Stay Together

Written and Recorded by Al Green, 1972
(b. 13 Apr 1946)

I'm, I'm so in love with you
Whatever you want to do
Is alright with me
'Cause you make me feel, so brand new
And I want to spend my life with you

Me sayin' since, baby, since we've been together
Ooo, loving you forever
Is what I need
Let me, be the one you come running to
I'll never be untrue
Ooo baby

Let's, let's stay together
Loving you whether, whether
Times are good or bad, happy or sad

Oooo oooo ooo ooo, yeah
Whether times are good or bad, happy or sad

Why somebody, why people break up
Oh, and turn around and make up
I just can't seeeeeeeee
You'd never do that to me
(Would you baby)
'Cause being around you is all I see
It's why I want us to

Let's, let's stay together
Loving you whether, whether
Times are good or bad, happy or sad

Let's, let's stay together
Loving you whether, whether
