Dear Friends and Schoolmates,   

   There is still more sad news today. Sandy Cohen, son-in-law of Norman Olshansky ('64) of FL, passed away suddenly in Sarasota, Florida on Monday, April 02, 2018 at the age of 50.  

   May his memory be for a blessing always.

  SARASOTA, FLORIDA - Sandy Cohen, 50, passed away suddenly on April 2nd.

Born in Utica, New York, he grew up in Sarasota, was a graduate of the Ringling School of Art and Design, and was Founder and President of Design Marketing Group (DMG) in Sarasota.

He was an avid runner, classic car and motor scooter enthusiast, collector and restorer. An active volunteer in the community, he was known for his generosity, wit, humor, and hard work. He was a devoted and loving husband and father and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Lauren Olshansky Cohen; daughter, Camryn Mae Cohen; son, Spencer Isadore Cohen; parents, Eugene and Sharon Cohen; brothers, Andrew Cohen (Allison) and Randy Cohen (Caryn); and many extended family members.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 5th at 11am at Temple Beth Sholom, 1050 S. Tuttle Avenue, Sarasota, followed by internment at the Beth Sholom Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the .
