To the family: Warren was a very private person, but we talked often about current events and our love of music. I knew he was very ill, yet he never spoke about it. I considered Warren a true and dear friend and I will miss him. I believe he is now at peace with God.

Warren inspired me so much in college at Hampton Institute. He was a very hard working fellow, working jobs as a residential assistant, as a cook at Giant's Open Air Market, and a summer job at VEPCO. I will always remember his Thunderbirds and his love of music.
Sincerely, Alvis Mann

To the family, always remember GOD does not make mistakes. Warren is no longer suffering and for that I rejoice in HIM. I will miss my best friend but I will cherish all the times we shared starting at NNHS in 1965. He will truly be missed but GOD knows best. Always remember the good times that you all shared together. Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. May JESUS continue to bless you and keep you in HIS care. Shall We Gather at the River

Words and Music by Rev. Robert Lowry (1826-1899)

 Shall we gather at the river,
Where bright angel feet have trod;
With its crystal tide forever
Flowing by the throne of God?

Chorus

Yes, we'll gather at the river,
The beautiful, the beautiful river;
Gather with the saints at the river
That flows by the throne of God.

On the margin of the river,
Washing up its silver spray,
We will walk and worship ever,
All the happy golden day.

Chorus

Ere we reach the shining river,
Lay we every burden down;
Grace our spirits will deliver,
And provide a robe and crown.

Chorus

Soon we'll reach the shining river,
Soon our pilgrimage will cease,
Soon our happy hearts will quiver
With the melody of peace.

Chorus
