Elizabeth Hendrickson Williams
Newport News High School Class of February 1944
Dear Friends and Schoolmates,
The sad news continues this Wednesday. Betty Hendrickson Williams, Valedictorian of the Class of February 1944, sister of the late Sally Hendrickson Carter, passed away in Hampton on Friday, March 03, 2017 at the age of 90.

Elizabeth Hendrickson Williams
HAMPTON - Betty Williams, 90, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017.
She was born in Huntington, NY and was a resident of Newport News and Hampton for 84 years. Betty graduated as valedictorian of her class at Newport News High School.
She worked at the C&O Railroad and Riverside Hospital, and was a homemaker.
Betty was an active member of Ivy Memorial Baptist Church and the Women's Missionary Union.
She enjoyed reading, traveling, watching NASCAR and football, and taking rides along Chesapeake Avenue.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, C.D.; her parents, Clyde and Grace Hendrickson; her daughter, Carolyn W. Judkins; and her sister, Sally Carter.
She is survived by her son, Clyde "Bubba" Williams (wife Suzanne); son-in-law, Barry Judkins (wife Cheryl); grandchildren, Teshia N. Judkins (husband Brendon Fetzer) and Nolan Judkins; great grandson Callen Fetzer; and her "grand dog" William Walter.
Visitation will be from 9 until 10:30 AM, Saturday, March 11th, followed a chapel service at Peninsula Funeral Home; with interment immediately following at Peninsula Memorial Park.
Our deepest sympathies are extended to Betty's family and their friends at this difficult time.
Y'all take good care of each other! TYPHOONS FOREVER! We'll Always HaveBuckroe!
