To the Family of Ralph "Butter" Harden,
Want to let you know how much we thought of Ralph. To Jerry, his brother who always kept us in touch with Butter. We talked to him 2 weeks ago and he was always very upbeat. Butter sold us our first Kirby vacuum cleaner, which we kept for 48 years and really miss it. With all our love to the family, his brother, Jerry. Butter is in Heaven waiting for us to come. Much love, Mickey and Carol Marcella

Our thoughts and prayers are with Ralph and Dan. Scott really enjoyed the fishing trips to the outer banks with all of you and we enjoyed all the fish they brought back. Ralph worked with senior citizens at P.A.A. where I worked. He was so patient and very compassionate with each and everyone, they dearly loved him. We were truly blessed to have known him. To the Family of Ralph "Butter" Harden,
I remember Butter as a friend from our days at NNHS and how he was always so upbeat. I had not seen him for years, but would always ask Jerry about him when I saw Jerry around City Hall in Hampton.
Rest In Peace, Old friend.

Harry and I have such great memories of "Butta" even though we lost touch with him. And, Grace & I will always remember that special Kirby guy who cleaned our carpets for "FREE" and sold us a Kirby. Without a doubt he was a very special guy. We'll all miss him.

Abide With Me

Words by Henry F. Lyte, 1847
Music by William H. Monk, 1861

Abide with me; fast falls the eventide;
The darkness deepens; Lord with me abide.
When other helpers fail and comforts flee,
Help of the helpless, O abide with me.

Swift to its close ebbs out life's little day;
Earth's joys grow dim; its glories pass away;
Change and decay in all around I see;
O Thou who changest not, abide with me.

Not a brief glance I beg, a passing word,
But as Thou dwell'st with Thy disciples, Lord,
Familiar, condescending, patient, free.
Come not to sojourn, but abide with me.

Come not in terrors, as the King of kings,
But kind and good, with healing in Thy wings;
Tears for all woes, a heart for every plea.
Come, Friend of sinners, thus abide with me.

Thou on my head in early youth didst smile,
And though rebellious and perverse meanwhile,
Thou hast not left me, oft as I left Thee.
On to the close, O Lord, abide with me.

I need Thy presence every passing hour.
What but Thy grace can foil the tempter's power?
Who, like Thyself, my guide and stay can be?
Through cloud and sunshine, Lord, abide with me.

I fear no foe, with Thee at hand to bless;
Ills have no weight, and tears no bitterness.
Where is death's sting? Where, grave, thy victory?
I triumph still, if Thou abide with me.

Hold Thou Thy cross before my closing eyes;
Shine through the gloom and point me to the skies.
Heaven's morning breaks, and earth's vain shadows flee;
In life, in death, O Lord, abide with me.
