Dear Friends and Schoolmates,   

   There is more sad news this Wednesday morning.  Dot Morris Earnhardt, mother of Brady Earnhardt ('66) of VA, Saundra Earnhardt Ray ('70) of TN, and Tim Earnhardt (Warwick HS - '7_) of VA, and mother-in-law of Linda Hicks Earnhardt ('65) of VA, passed away in Yorktown on Friday, February 23, 2018, one day after her 89th birthday.

                   Dorothy Morris Earnhardt

    YORKTOWN - The Golden Bells Rang for Dorothy Morris Earnhardt, "Dot", who was gently taken by the hand of her Lord and led over into her eternal home on Friday, February 23rd, just one day following her 89th birthday.

Although a native of Albemarle, Stanly County, NC, she was residing in Yorktown, Va. at the time of her passing.

She was the caring wife of Theodore G. Earnhardt (Pig) for over 70 years, and mother to three children; Brady Earnhardt and wife, Linda, of York County, Va.; Saundra Earnhardt Ray and husband, C.A. Ray, of Flagpond, Tenn.; Timothy Earnhardt and wife, Becky, from Hartfield, Va.; and ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and many special friends.

Dot was born in Stanly County, NC, on February 22nd, 1929 to the late Ronnie and Eula Morris.

She was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

Dot and "Pig" returned to Albemarle, NC., after his retirement from the Newport News Shipyard in 1980, then returned back to Newport News in 2017.

 
 
 
 
  A graveside service will be held in Albemarle, N.C. on Wednesday, Feb. 28th, at 1:00 p.m.
