Dear Friends and Schoolmates,   

   We have another sad edition of the NNHS Newsletter today.       Harry Keller, Class of 1957, passed away at home in Newport News on Friday, February 21, 2014 at the age of 74.

                 Harry Keller
      NEWPORT NEWS - Harry Wade Keller, 74, lovingly known as PawPaw by his grandchildren and great grandchildren, passed away February 21, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Harry lived in Newport News all of his life. He graduated from Newport News High School in 1957 and went to work for Newport News Shipbuilding (O53 Materials and Supply Department) in 1958 where he worked for over 40 years.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, David and Mabel Keller, his sister Shirley Walker, his brother Paul Keller and a grandson Kenneth Keller.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 53 years, Jacquelyn and their children, Kathe Topping, Charlene Gleaton and her husband David, Harry "Bubba" Keller II, and Linda Keller and her fiance Mike Griffiths. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Caleb Topping; Travis Gleaton; Taylor Keller; Christopher and Jesse Keller (and their mother, Patty), Amanda and Dwight Keller; and four great grandchildren, Ryanne, Mason, Chevy, and Chance.

He is survived by his brother Douglas Keller and his wife Sandra, his sister June Bright and her husband Herbie and many cherished nieces, nephews and close family friends.

Many thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses that have treated him over the years.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 24, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25 at the funeral home, with burial following at Peninsula Memorial Park.
