I'm Always Chasing Rainbows
"He felt like a man who, chasing rainbows, has had one of them suddenly turn and bite him in the leg."
- P.G. Wodehouse (15 Oct 1881

Dear Friends and Schoolmates,
My sister, the Best Dressed Girl in the Class of 1959, Eleanor Buckley Nowitzky of NC, and I were trying to choose a new theme song for today when we happily "chanced " upon this one that our mama, the late Maxine Frix Buckley (John Marshall HS - '25) (19 May 1908 - 15 Feb 1999), used to sing us as a lullaby. In searching my files, I found that I had used it only once before, eleven years ago. Time for another look!

|Mr. Peterson, a tourist from
Toronto, arrived in Barbados. In an airport taxi cab, Peterson asked the
driver, "Say, is this really a healthful place?"
"It sure is," the cabby replied. "When I arrived here I couldn't say one word. I had hardly any hair on my head. I didn't have the strength to walk across a room, and I had to be lifted out of bed."
"That's wonderful!" said the tourist, "How long have you been here?"
"I was born here."
