As
promised, we have another sad Memorial Edition of the NNHS Newsletter this Thursday
morning.
Lynn Wachtel Schaffer, mother of the late
Andy Schaffer Peck
('65)
(d. 17 Feb 2008), passed away
at home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Friday, February 08, 2013 at the age of 95.
May her memory be for a blessing always.

| Today we received word that
Carolyn Schaffer, the mother of the late Andy Schaffer Peck
died. She was living in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where her son-in-law
Sidney Peck and her granddaughter Lindsay Peck also reside.
Sidney is bringing her back to Newport News for burial. There will be a
graveside service at Peninsula Memorial Park on Wednesday February 13th
at 3:00 pm. Sidney asked me to pass this information to anyone that
would like to attend. An obituary will not be in the local paper until
Tuesday of next week.
Oh, Malcolm, I'm so sorry to
hear this; thank you so much for letting us know.

NEWPORT NEWS - Carolyn Schaffer, age 95, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 8, 2013, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was a long time resident of Hampton and Newport News, Virginia. Carolyn is survived by her son-in-law, Sidney Peck, and grandchildren, Lindsay Peck and Bryan Peck. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert H. Schaffer and her daughter, Andy Schaffer Peck. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Carolyn will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carolyn "Lynn" Wachtel Schaffer Temple Sinai Religious School Arts Fund at (757) 596-8352. so sorry to hear of Carolyn's passing. She was such a delightful lady to be
around and she loved her family very much. She will be missed by many
