From Fuzzy Turner ('63) of NC -
01/05/09 - "For 2009":
We make a living by what we get; We make a life by what we give. |

There comes a point in your life when you realize
who matters, who never did,
who won't anymore...
and who always will!!!
So, don't worry so much about the people from your past,
there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.
And remember: 'Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting
some kind of battle.'
Thank you, Fuzzy!
From Frances Goodson Wang ('65) of MD - 01/14/09 - "THE BROWNS lyrics - The Old
Lamplighter #1 song the day I was born":
This is the top rated song on the day I was
born. I will send a link where anyone can look up the song. It fits me. Just
make the lamplighter a woman.

Oh, this is so cool!
Thanks, Frances!
From Brownie Shaffer Haracivet
('62) of VA - 01/14/09 - "Who knew this?"
Duh!!!!!
Don't you even try and act like you all
ready knew this.
I had to go into the kitchen and check this out for myself. Whoever looks at the
end of your aluminum foil box? You know when you try to pull some foil out and
the roll comes out of the box. Then you have to put the roll back in the box and
start over. The darn roll always comes out at the wrong time.
Well, I would like to share this with you. Yesterday I went to throw out an
empty Reynolds foil box and for some reason I turned it and looked at he end of
the box. And written on the end it said, Press here to lock end. Right there on
the end of the box is a tab to lock the roll in place. How long has this little
locking tab been there? I then looked at a generic brand of aluminum foil and it
had one, too. I then looked at a box of Saran wrap and it had one too! I can't
count the number of times the Saran wrap roll has jumped out when I was trying
to cover something up.
I'm sharing this with my friends. I hope I'm not the only person that didn't
know about this.
WOW!
Thanks, Brownie!
Think
of all the irritation we can save ourselves in the future!
From My Niece, Shari, of VA - 01/23/09 - "crazy dogs":

Thanks, Shari!
FINALLY:
From Joyce Lawrence Cahoon ('65) of
VA - 01/23/09 - "Flat
Tire":
Yesterday I had a flat tire on the interstate. So I eased my car over to the shoulder of the road, I carefully got out of the car and opened the trunk. I took out 2 cardboard men, unfolded them and stood them at the rear of my car facing oncoming traffic. They look so lifelike you wouldn't believe! They are in trench coats exposing their nude bodies and private parts to the approaching drivers. Cars start slowing down looking at my lifelike men. And, of course, traffic starts backing up. Everybody is tooting their horns and waving like crazy. It wasn't long before a state trooper pulls up behind me. He gets out of his car and starts walking towards me. I could tell he was not a happy camper! "What's going on here?" "My car has a flat tire,' I said calmly. "Well, what the heck are those obscene cardboard men doing here by the road?" I couldn't believe that he didn't know. So I told him, "Hellooooo, those are my emergency flashers!!! |
WILDER GIGGLES!!!
Thanks again,
Joyce!

Do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do
Do, do, do, do, do, do, do
Do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do
Do, do, do, do, do, do, do
Tonight I wanna give it all to you
In the darkness
There's so much I wanna do
And tonight I wanna lay it at your feet
'Cause girl, I was made for you
And girl, you were made for me
I was made for lovin' you baby
You were made for lovin' me
And I can't get enough of you baby
Can you get enough of me
Tonight I wanna see it in your eyes
Feel the magic
There's something that drives me wild
And tonight we're gonna make it all come true
'Cause girl, you were made for me
And girl I was made for you
I was made for lovin' you baby
You were made for lovin' me
And I can't get enough of you baby
Can you get enough of me
I was made for lovin' you baby
You were made for lovin' me
And I can give it all to you baby
Can you give it all to me
Oh, can't get enough, oh, oh
I can't get enough, oh, oh
I can't get enough
Yeah, ha
Do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do
Do, do, do, do, do, do, do
Do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do
Do, do, do, do, do, do, do
I was made for lovin' you baby
You were made for lovin' me
And I can't get enough of you baby
Can you get enough of me
Oh, I was made, you were made
I can't get enough
No, I can't get enough
I was made for lovin' you baby
You were made for lovin' me
And I can't get enough of you baby
Can you get enough of me
I was made for lovin' you baby
You were made for lovin' me
And I can give it all to you baby
