Walk Hand in Hand

“Nothing in this world compares to the comfort and security of having someone just hold your hand.”

Richelle E. Goodrich, Smile Anyway
(b. 1968)

Dear Friends and Schoolmates,

Tony Martin started singing this love song to me the other day, and I realized to my horror we'd never used it in a Newsletter. Shocking.

BONUS #1 - Walk Hand in Hand - Tony Martin, 1956

BONUS #2 - Walk Hand in Hand - Andy Williams, 1956

From Walk Hand in Hand

"Walk Hand in Hand" is a popular song by Johnny Cowell, published in 1956.

The biggest-selling version recorded of the song was sung by Tony Martin, reaching #2 in the UK and #10 on the United States Billboard chart in 1956.[1] The same year, it was recorded by Andy Williams, whose version hit #54 on the chart, and by Ronnie Carroll, whose version reached No. 13 on the UK singles chart. A later recording by Gerry & The Pacemakers reached No.29 on the UK chart, No. 10 in Canada, and "bubbled under" at No.103 on the Billboard chart at the end of 1965.

Walk hand in hand with me through all eternity
Have faith, believe in me, give me your hand
Love is a symphony of perfect harmony
When lovers such as we walk hand in hand

Be not afraid, for I am with you all the while
So lift your head up high and look toward the sky

Walk hand in hand with me, this is our destiny
No greater love could be, walk hand in hand
Walk with me

Be not afraid, for I am with you all the while
So lift your head up high and look up to the sky

Walk hand in hand with me, this is our destiny
No greater love could be, walk hand in hand
Walk with me
