Lynette Taylor Schappell
Newport News High School Class of 1969
Dear Friends and Schoolmates,
We have more sad news to report today. Lynette Taylor Schappell, Class of 1969, of Williamsburg, sister of Ronnie Taylor ('67) of NC, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2010 at the age of 58.

WILLIAMSBURG - Lynette T.
Schappell, 58, of Williamsburg, passed away on Jan. 15, 2010. She is free of
pain and resting safely. Lynette formerly resided in Richmond. She was born
on Aug. 29, 1951, in Pitt County, N.C., to Earline and Charlie Taylor. She
was a graduate from the class of 1969 of Newport News High School.
Lynn was an incredibly caring woman, who always put her friends and family above all else. She was an excellent homemaker and mother of her two sons. She was also very talented in many areas of interest, sharing a passion for cooking, sewing, and computers. She was self taught and excelled greatly at anything she became involved with. She was also an avid reader and was known to finish a book in one day.
Schappell Family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care and concern of
the staff at MCV, specifically the Thomas Palliative Care Unit. A special
thanks goes to nurses, Bonnie, Carrie, Dawn, and Lisa, as well as clinical

her father, Charlie C. Taylor.

I am so sorry to hear about Lynn's passing. Please accept our deepest and sincerest sympathy to you and your family for your loss. Be assured that you are in our prayers.
Don, my sympathy is with you and your family at this sad time. Remember all the wonderful years you had together and the great memories that were created. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

I am so sorry to learn of Lyn's passing. I always enjoyed being in Lyn's company at SPS functions. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family during this difficult time.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your wife/mother was a very special woman and I will always remember how kind and wonderful she was to me and my family. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
