Dear Friends and Schoolmates,
For some reason I always imagine that today's theme song was written about eight years earlier than it was. My mind plays funny tricks on me from time to time!

|"Chapel of Love" is a song written by
Ellie Greenwich and
Phil Spector, and made famous by
The Dixie Cups in 1964, spending three weeks at number one on the

of this song. This was also the debut release of the new
Red Bird Records run by
Jerry Leiber and
Mike Stoller along with
The song tells of the happiness and excitement the narrator feels on her wedding day, for she and her love are going to the "chapel of love", and "we'll never be lonely anymore." BONUS LOVE KNOT CROCHET PATTERN:
http://www.joyfulabode.com/solomons-knot-shawl/ - Emily Chappelle's Solomon’s Knot Shawl -"The Solomon’s Knot Shawl is definitely my most popular pattern. There aren’t that many patterns out there that use this stitch, but it’s a shame… the Solomon’s Knot stitch (aka True Lover’s Knot Stitch, Hail Stone Stitch, or Love Knot Stitch) is beautiful and a great way to show off special yarn."
BONUS RECIPES (Sorry; not theme-related):
Dump and Go Cowboy Chicken - "This recipe for Dump and Go Cowboy Chicken couldn't be easier to make. All you need are a few basic, Southwestern-inspired ingredients like black beans, corn and tomatoes and you're ready to start cooking! Mix everything together and cook it for six hours on low in your trusty slow cooker and then enjoy a delicious chicken dinner. Effortless suppers don't get much better than this. You get a ton of flavor for not a lot of work, making this one of the best slow cooker chicken recipes we've ever found!"
Old Fashioned Salisbury Steak - "Served with mashed potatoes and gravy, there's nothing that says comfort food and home cooking like a delicious Salisbury steak recipe. Coming from Tina at Mommy's Kitchen, Old Fashioned Salisbury Steak is just like the kind Ma used to make. The meat is drenched in a French onion soup/brown gravy mixture, which is delicious. Gather the family around the table and enjoy a tasty, home-cooked meal this week."
Great Depression Casserole - "During the Great Depression, bologna became a staple in the diets of many who couldn't afford other types of meat. This Great Depression Casserole is a budget-friendly recipe that still tastes great today! With bacon, pork and beans, bologna, Cheddar cheese and more, this deliciously-easy casserole is full of savor and delicious flavors the whole family will love. Just because it doesn't cost a lot to make, doesn't make this casserole any less tasty! This is definitely an old-fashioned recipe that should stick around for a while."
|Tony was a pianist and was practicing late one
night. There was a tap on the door, when he opened it his landlord was
standing outside the door.
The landlord asked, “Do you know there is a sick lady upstairs?"
Tony answered, “No, I haven’t heard that song. Can you please hum it a little?"
