We have more sad news this
Saturday morning. Grace Hilda Stokes, Class of
@ 1932, sister of Lewis Stokes of VA, passed away
at The Gardens at Warwick Forest in Newport News
on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the age of 98.

NEWPORT NEWS - Grace Hilda Stokes, 98, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at The Gardens at Warwick Forest. She was born on April 22, 1916 in Newport News and was a graduate of Newport News High School. Grace retired in 1981 as a Classification Specialist with the Civil Service at Fort Monroe with over 30 years of service. She is survived by her brother, Lewis Stokes, Jr. of Newport News; her nephew, Charles P. L. Stokes and wife, Sue, of Newport News; two grandnieces, Yvonne Smith and husband, Brian, of Newport News and Elizabeth Stokes of Richmond; and one great-grandniece, Ashleigh Peterson. A private
Graveside Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Weymouth
Funeral Home.
